Matsushima Koumura ligt in Matsushima, op 10 km van Heiligdom Shiogama en 24 km van Sendai City Community Support Center, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en... Such a friendly place to stay. The owners and staff were exceptionally nice. The room was beautiful and a great size. And the onsen was lovely. A close walk to many attractions and always lovely to come back to.

Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN is ideaal gelegen in de wijk Owani Onsen in Ōwani, en is gelegen op 43 km van Archeologische vindplaats Sannai-Maruyama, 17 km van kasteel van Hirosaki en 42 km van Sukayu... This place is an absolute gem. The staff, food, location and room were all exceptional. I would recommend this ryokan to anyone wanting an exceptional ryokan experience. The onsen was also fantastic and the warmest one we came across in our month in Japan.

Tabinoyado Saikawa bevindt zich in Kuroishi, op 33 km van Towada-meer, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Kameya Hotel ligt in Tsuruoka, op 3,5 km van Kamo Aquarium, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin en gratis privéparkeren. Amazing history and gardens. Rooms were enormous, with open views of the beach and with a cedar bathtub fed by hot springs in the room.

Ichiraku tendo spa & brewery bevindt zich in Tendo, op 30 km van skigebied Zao Onsen, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. Excellent Dinner and Breakfast. All inclusive drinks. Private Onsen/Hot spring was amazing. Staff were very accommodating and the Cherry blossom in full bloom along the nearby river was a huge bonus. Excellent artworks throughout the property

Yuze Hotel is gelegen in Kazuno, in de wijk Yuze Onsen. De ryokan met 4 sterren biedt een gedeelde lounge en heeft kamers met airconditioning, gratis WiFi, en een eigen badkamer. This place! I cannot describe how amazing the room with private onsen is. Super spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view to the mountains. Breakfast and dinner were delicious (buffet style), enough vegetarian options. There's a free drink bar available for the afternoon/evening hours as well. I didn't use the public bath because they don't allow visible tattoo's though.

Takasagoya Ryokan bevindt zich in Zao Onsen. De ryokan met 3 sterren biedt een restaurant en heeft kamers met airconditioning, gratis WiFi, en een gedeelde badkamer. The staff was very kind, as expected from a family owned ryokan. The bath area is small, but you schedule your personal bath time. Food is incredible, a must try when visiting Zao. Location is near the main attractions, like the cable car is reachable by walking. Lots of nearby onsens.

Okawaso biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en een restaurant in Aizuwakamatsu, op 13 km van Aizu Higashiyama Onsen. Elke kamer in deze ryokan is voorzien van airconditioning en een televisie. Simpy WOW! It is really an amazing place. We stayed there for one night just to get the experience in staying in a ryokan with onsen. We like anime so we chose this one as it has some features of Demon Slayer anime :) Room was amazing, sleeping on futons was really comfortable. Room was spacious. We were wearing yukatas during our stay and it was just amazing! Onsen was wonderful! And the dinner - OMG - super tasty! we felt really welcomed there and taken care of. One staff member who spoke English very well was explaining us what we were eating, how to cook different parts of the meal etc. It was so lovely. We really appreciate that! If we ever come to Japan again we will go there for sure.

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. The hospitality of the staff, they are so nice and welcoming.
