Masaki, who delivered and explained our dinners, was the highlight! He was so friendly and did a great job! Breakfast and dinner were incredibly tasty. You must visit the rooftop foot spa on a clear day, for a spectacular view of Mt Fuji and Kawaguchiko Lake. Convenient location, free shuttle from/to Kawaguchiko station, room and public onsen were incredibly clean, got to enjoy karaoke and I highly recommend the private bath with the view of Mt Fuji.

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. Exceptional property and well worth what we paid for it. Amazing views from the onsen (public and shared with other hotel guests, but both times we used it there was nobody there. Quite a private experience and it was great to watch the sun set!) The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious and the experience was one we’ll never forget. The staff picked us up at Kawaguchiko station and brought our bags straight to our room after check in. We enjoyed the tea and snack while soaking in the views.10/10 would visit again!

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. All the staff were extremely accommodating and pleasant. The dinner and breakfast were beyond expectations. The heated bathroom flooring was a very nice touch.

I had an amazing stay at this ryokan! Just like others have mentioned, the food was absolutely delicious, and I was really surprised by the generous portions of authentic local dishes—such a wonderful experience! The entire ryokan was spotlessly clean and very quiet, making it a truly relaxing place to stay. When I visited, there weren’t many guests, which made it feel even more peaceful. One of the most memorable experiences was the kindness of the staff. It was snowing heavily that day, and I missed my bus, which meant I had to wait another two hours. Out of nowhere, the ryokan staff messaged me to check on us, and when they heard about our situation, they offered to pick us up! When we finally arrived, being welcomed with a warm, delicious meal was the best feeling ever. The ryokan is actually very close to Hirano Beach, but unfortunately, due to the heavy snow, we didn’t get to visit. That just gives me another reason to come back! If I ever visit Yamanakako again, I will definitely stay here. The hospitality was top-notch, and the staff made us feel so at home. One of the elderly ladies even noticed that I was unsure how to eat a dish and helped feed me—it was such a heartwarming and adorable moment. ❤️

The view was amazing and the owner greeted us personally and took a photo in front of the lake before offering us a welcome drink. The onsen was amazing and tattoo-friendly. The rooms were lovely with the tatami floor and nice shower.

We had the privilege of spending one night at Temple Lodging Shukubo Kakurinbo on Mount Minobu, and it was one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences of our trip in Japan. The lodging was authentic, peaceful, and cozy, and the entire team welcomed us with warmth and care. The dinner and breakfast were true works of art — both delicious and beautifully presented. We were also fortunate to experience a private tea ceremony, thoughtfully arranged for us at the home of tea teacher. Our guide, Tomo, was kind, considerate, and made the whole experience unforgettable. We also attended the morning prayer at Kuon-ji Temple, which was deeply moving. Thank you to everyone at Kakurinbo for your gracious hospitality — we will always remember our time with you.

Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel se nachází ve městě Fujikawaguchiko, jen minutu chůze od jezera Kawaguchiko a nedaleko mostu Kawaguchiko Ohashi. Ve všech prostorách je zdarma dostupné Wi-Fi. IT IS A GREAT HOTEL, THE STAFF IS REALLY FRIENDLY. FIRST TIME SLEEPING IN A JAPANESE STYLE ROOM AND USING AN ONSEN, IT WAS A NICE EXPERIENCE. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED

Hiromi was the most warm & welcoming host, along with her family. She even prepared some phrases As Gaeilge to welcome me! The rooms are typical ryoken style with tatami flooring, shoji doors and a comfortable futon for sleeping. Each room has a view of Mt Fuji if you are lucky to see her like I was. There is an onsen for bathing and they provide a yukata robe to wear. The location is nearby to the hop-on/hop-off bus and right beside lake Kawaguchiko which was the perfect place for photographing Mt Fuji unobstructed. The breakfast spread was amazing traditional Japanese style and they gave me a lift back to the station after check-out. I loved every element of my stay!
