Spacious house but quite cold in early spring. The kitchen, shower room and toilet are so cold. The stuffed boar at the entrance looks so real and a bit haunting while brushing teeth at night. It’s the country home vibe though.

Beautiful old wooden house on the Main Street in Narai. Furnished with tatami mat sleeping area and well stocked kitchen. The owner spoke no English but was very helpful and proficient with google translate. She provided several snacks and booked a restaurant for us after explaining that during shoulder season not many places were open in the evening. The best pyjamas of our holiday in Japan!

I had such a wonderful stay at Pastime! It was so comfortable and familial. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay there and the town of Tatsuno is very beautiful.

Amazing place. We couldn't believe that we had the full use on our own (2 of us). Excellent facilities (incl washing machine and covered drying space). Fully equipped kitchen, games room, TV etc.... too much to use in one night!! Lovely small town with a few restaurants and shops and handy for the train. Perfect location whilst walking the Nakasendo trail.
