The 4-star By The Sea Resort is located in the centre of Port Douglas, next to Four Mile Beach and just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants along Macrossan Street. All apartments come with full kitchen facilities and many also have sea views. Amazing location with the absolutely nicest staff. So many things to borrow - basically everything you need in towels, beach chairs and even bikes!

Guests can enjoy views of the garden from their balcony. The Outrigger is centrally located close to the beach and the marina for excursions on the water. Restuarants are only a few blocks away. There were lots of large trees on the property to provide important shade as well as a large natural stand of trees across the street. The bird life was prolific here which is so nice to see. The room was clean and beautiful with a well appointed kitchen allowing us to cook anything. The cupboards even had Tupperware containers to put leftovers in after eating. I liked the salt water pool instead of chlorine. Amanda and Peter were such helpful and gracious hosts. They did numerous bookings for us and provided information on excursions that we would not have known ourselves eg which ones are best, the weather forecast, eg. I would highly recommend the outrigger as a place to stay. The snorkeling on the outer reef is absolutely magical - you have to try it!

My room was lovely - clean, modern, spacious with gorgeous interiors and really comfortable bed. Sonya and Robin were always on hand to help me out and answer questions, they were great hosts! All air-conditioned apartments at Port Douglas Pool Resort feature a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities and a lounge area. We had a wonderful stay in a 2-bedroom swim-out apartment, which was perfect for our family. The space was thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage, and the beds were super comfortable. It’s a little further out of town, but we appreciated the quiet, peaceful surroundings. The staff were warm, helpful, and made us feel right at home. A real highlight was the excellent café just a short walk away, serving delicious breakfast and lunch with beautiful river views—we went every day. We also loved relaxing on our patio each afternoon and stepping straight into the pool.

Here you can enjoy the beach lifestyle and elegance which gives this Queensland resort its reputation as the ultimate holiday playground. Fabulous place to stay. Spacious, block out curtains in bedrooms, lovely balcony with comfy chairs. It was fab being across the Rd from the beach as you could hear the ocean. The pool also looked out on beautiful vegetation. My family loved the tennis court. Also 15 min walk to town. There are no lifts so ask for ground floor apartment if don’t like stairs.

There is nothing not to like about this property The location is exceptional, a block from 4 mile beach, sitting on Macrossan Street and all the restaurants and shops. The deluxe apartment was well laid out with a balcony overlooking the garden and pool. The real treasure at this property is Ken, the owner of this property. His interest and kindness towards his guests is wonderful. He is full of local information, recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. He genuinely cares and is interested in his guests Ken, made our stay an exceptional experience. I would definitely recommend this property and stay here again
