La guest House ha due terrazze bellissime e ahmed il proprietario è molto gentile e disponibile. Il wifi funziona benissimo, caffe e te liberi come uso terrazza. Tutto perfetto!

The guesthouse has a beautiful view of the Nile, with an amazing rooftop terrace. The atmosphere made us feel completely at home. Uncle Mahmoud, the owner, is such a classy and kind person—he welcomed us with fresh guava juice and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. He arranged a reasonably priced taxi for a full day to visit the monuments and even offers boat tours on the Nile at fair prices. The kitchen is available if you want to cook, and it’s easy to cross to the city center for just 10 Egyptian pounds. On the day of our departure, Uncle Mahmoud woke up early to help with our luggage and sent someone with us to ensure everything went smoothly. These are genuine, honest, and wonderful people. We can’t recommend this place enough!

They have four bedrooms, two of which seem to have attached bathrooms, and two that have adjoining bathrooms. If you reserve the upstairs bedrooms, you can have breakfast in the balcony, with a view of the outdoors. They have a washing machines that you can use to do your laundry, and you can hang the clothes to dry on the balcony (they dried overnight). Breakfast is made by a person in the community and can be Western or local style. Ramadan, the owner, went above and beyond the call of duty in providing us car transport between the guest house and temples, for example, because of the hot weather. The temples are within walking distance, maybe about 20 mins or so. He can also arrange a sunrise boat tour to see the temples from the water, which I would highly recommend. You can easily walk to the boat from the guesthouse, about 5-7 minutes. There are a few restaurants for foreigners, a couple within walking distance and a couple that are easier by car.

È possibile organizzare anche altri tour. Se avete dubbi su dove alloggiare ad Assuan, consiglio di alloggiare sull’isola Elefantina perchè è molto più tranquilla rispetto alla città e allo stesso tempo è facilmente raggiungibile, ci si arriva in 1 minuto grazie alle barche che partono di continuo.

The serene location on the riverfront of the Nile River made my stay a scenic delight. Awi and his family are the best hosts anyone can wish for. The breakfast on their riverfront terrace was delicious and a highlight of every morning. They arranged a motorboat for me to visit the Nubian Village in the afternoon. And it was a memorable trip filled with thrills and fun. Seeing the sun slowly descending over the river, lighting up the landscape with glorious colors was amazing. Awi's son operated the motorboat, and guided me through the Nubian Village. He was a wonderful guide and spoke excellent English. And they also arranged an enjoyable trip for me to see the unfinished obelisk and the High Dam. The studio had big windows facing the Nile River. And I could see the feluccas and boats and ferries plying up and down the waterway from my windows. What a treat! And Awi also helped me buy groceries on the Elephantine Island. And carried the groceries back to my studio! I appreciate all the generous help and courtesies the family gave me during my stay there. His wife, Fatma, and his two children were hospitable, friendly and charming. And Fatma is such a good cook! I love the falafel, the potatoes, the beans and salads she prepared every morning. The coffee and tea were also great.
