We absolutely loved the atmosphere of this place. Everything was clean and the view from the terrace was amazing. Make sure to catch at least one sunset from there. In terms of accommodation, it consists of a spacious downstairs room with a veranda facing the sea and a three bedroom upstairs apartment suitable for families or groups of guests. There is a lovely open plan community area as well. Amanda ensures that you eat well at the White House, as the tariff includes three meals and bottomless cups of drinking water, coffee and tea. The meals themselves, prepared by a team of local women in the well appointed kitchen, are plentiful, varied and delicious. Amanda provides free use of snorkeling equipment and kayaks should you want to go for a paddle. She will also arrange transportation to and from Bunaken Island, as well as snorkeling or diving trips within the Marine Reserve. Her boatman, Peter, has a comfortable boat with shade shelter and a ladder to help get in and out during the trip. Finally, Amanda cares about the community of Bunaken. She has arranged and paid for vaccinations of the local dogs and organised medical treatment for her employees when needed.
