There is a lovely river near the property you can explore and enjoy reading and relaxing between safari journeys and be well taken care of. They coordinated our safari, which was incredible! So many up close elephant encounters!, and helped us with transportation to them and away, making the whole experience care free and enjoyable. If you can enjoy a rustic safari cabin experience (well, not so rustic because there is a/c 😆) while being cared for by the sweetest family then look no further and enjoy Green Paradise.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Avian Garden. The room was perfect, the garden beautiful and the three Sri Lankan breakfasts and evening meals were excellent. Usaj made sure we experienced very tasty Sri Lankan food. He arranged a Safari in the National Park with a local man who was very well informed concerning all the flora and fauna in the park. Avian Garden is in a discreet location, within easy walk of Udawalawe. As we walked by, the friendliness of the people in the nearby homes was very encouraging, as were the people in Udawalawe.

At the guest house, all units are equipped with bed linen and towels. we stayed at the Chill House for two nights to do the safari and we can highly recommend it. not only that the rooms are really nice and clean, but also Hashan is a really nice guy and welcomed us in the best way he could. he helped us where ever he could. We did also the safari with him and that also was the best experience we could get. you can really tell that he is doing his safaris with passion.
