Bergwerk/ Mine (in English) is a fabulous apartment, beautifully decorated with all the cosy comforts of home you require. Bonus was a secure underground parking in the apartment building and an on-site laundry (coin operated) in the basement. Bicycles can be rented directly from Sebastian - a fantastic host who is quick to respond to questions, always available to assist and give guidance during your stay. The apartment has a lovely balcony with stunning views of the Schwangau valley and Allgau Alps. It was great to relax on the balcony in the evenings and watch sunset over the lake and valley area. Schwangau village and the Forgensee Lake are all within a short walking distance from the apartment. Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Castles are about 4kms from the apartment - great scenic areas to walk or cycle through to reach the castles. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and experienced true Bavarian hospitality - Thank You again Sebastian, we will definitely return to "Bergwerk #no filter" when next we visit Schwangau and Füssen.

The property features mountain and quiet street views, and is 1.2 km from Museum of Füssen. Free private parking is available and the apartment also offers ski equipment hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Great location near some fabulous trails and a waterfall. The trails to the castles are just behind the property and we hiked up there on a couple of occasions. Host was friendly and accomodating and the apartment was spacious with a nice balcony.

The host was extra helpful and prepared fussen passes for us to take bus for free. There is almost nothing to complain about the house in the heart of the old town.
