Fantastic location near to the four squares, and the equipment rental shop (Ski Biz I believe). The apartment was so cosy and well ventilated with large windows! The dry pantry was well equipped with herbs and condiments.

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. We stayed in a King Pod and it was terrific! Private, very comfortable bed, hot shower and an amazing soaking tub. Loved our stay there and wish we had stayed the night after we hiked the Crossing too!

Posizionato all’interno del Tongariro National Park, è comodissimo per visitare il parco. Nella struttura è presente un ottimo ristorante, che serve sia la cena che le colazioni, queste ultime a partire dalle ore 6 del mattino al costo di 30 dollari neozelandesi a persona, il che è davvero importante considerato che nei dintorni c’è solo un altro bar ristorante che niente altro. Le camere sono abbastanza piccole ed essenziali ma pulite. Personale gentile. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Situato a National Park, a 21 km da Monte Ruapehu, The Crossing Lodge & Backpackers prevede una sala comune, un parcheggio privato gratuito e una terrazza. This is my 2nd stint here. The 1st stint I had an easier time checking in. However, once I checked in, it was just like the previous stay. It is a minimalist lodging, which is what I like. There is a community kitchen and cooking area, which is an excellent way to meet new people. I will stay here every time when I am in the Tongariro area.
