Clean throughout, great rooms (I had the mountain view) mattresses superb quality. Numerous dining options in the hotel, really good kitchen. Also for the breakfast, really good service. The location is amazing if you are into hiking and the hotel also organizes tours, so you can just check with the tour desk. Don't forget the use the swing!

Hospitality – Staff throughout the hotel—from check‑in to housekeeping—exceeded every expectation. Breakfast experience – A wide and tasty buffet, prompt service, with hot dishes prepared on request made for an energizing start to each day. Ideal for short stopovers – I originally planned this as a two‑night rest to avoid a long drive after a flight. While I didn’t have time for the spa, its generally praised 1,000 m² wellness area shows just how full a longer stay could be. Impeccable cleanliness – I hold very high standards for hygiene; the room and public areas surpassed them entirely.

Other facilities include a panoramic sauna. This was my second stay at this hotel. The first stay was in October 2024. As usual, the staff was stellar. Every request and inquiry was acted upon with a cheerful smile and prompt efficiency. They delivered 100% especially when I needed it the most. The hotel is situated across the street from the Bad Reichenhall Bahnhof (train station). No worries since the hotel has excellent soundproofing. The public areas along with the room itself were immaculate. The bathroom had all the expected amenities including hair dryer, soaps and a towel warmer. The A/C runs well and can be adjusted. There is an Aldi supermarket and a store specializing in health products and cosmetics nearby. An Italian pizza restaurant is across the street (order the spinach and salmon pizza), and a Bavarian restaurant is a few blocks away. The Avalon is a family-owned and run business so you get that special attention you can’t get at a chain hotel. I highly recommend this property.

Set within Berchtesgaden National Park, at the foot of Watzmann Mountain, Berghotel Rehlegg offers traditional Bavarian accommodation. It provides panoramic spa facilities and hiking possibilities among breathtaking scenery. Although the room is not so big, but it is very comfortable especially with the balcony. Both breakfast and dinner exceeded my expectations. It is well worth staying here to enjoy the natural environment and swimming pool. This should be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The indoor swimming pool of the Obermühle 4*S Boutique Resort has large panoramic windows with mountain view. Guests can also enjoy a hot tub as well as a modern spa area with a salt sauna, a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, steam baths, an infrared cabin and several relaxation areas. The garden includes a sunbathing lawn. The staff members were incredibly kind, and the restaurant served high-quality meals for all their menu items. The SPA experience was truly amazing, and the kids enjoyed every second of it.

Beautifully presented property in a fantastic location to explore the area. The hosts were extremely friendly and very welcoming. Hiking, leisure facilities and parks a short walking distance. Supermarkets less than 5 minutes in the car and Garmisch one way / Eibsee & Zugspitze the other, no more than 10 mins by car.
