Basically everything! Pleasantly, we were upgraded upon arrival to a wonderful, spacious, light and comfortable room. Staff were very attentive, showed us through the hotel’s lovely facilities and booked us into the restaurant where we had an amazing evening meal. Bed was heavenly comfortable where we slept peacefully followed by an exceptional breakfast. The grounds and spa facilities also excellent. A truly luxurious stay!!

Located on Princes Street, The Balmoral has a 4 AA Rosette restaurant, a pool and a gym. Waverley Station and Edinburgh's main shopping area are within 5 minutes' walk. The decor, the choice of bars, restaurants, the staff, the location, basically could not single out one specific highlight.

From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and attended to every detail with utmost care. They provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities, ensuring that each day was filled with exciting discoveries. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and decorated tastefully. We especially appreciated the luxurious bedding which ensured restful sleep after long days exploring the city. Breakfast each morning was another highlight—freshly prepared dishes presented elegantly in the historic dining room added to the charm of this place. We highly recommend Glencruitten House not only for its stunning architecture but also because it's located close enough to explore many key sights like Princes Street Gardens or Waverley Station without needing transport. House should be your first choice!
