This place was out best stay in Japan, the staff is so nice, it is clean and comfy. The dinner is a bit pricy but with the experience. The breakfast was awesome. The toiled in the room is very convenient. The private baths are super nice and each guest gets 40min in there.

The room was the good size for 4 people and we enjoyed the balcony with the view to the town's main street and the river. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and takes great care to explain the different activities to do in the ryokan and in the town. We had an amazing time using our yukatas and hopping from one onsen to another, and we also very happy with the meals that were prepared at the ryokan - the dinner was definitely the best we had in all our stay.

We enjoyed both the traditional kaiseki dinner and the Japanese-style breakfast, which were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. One of the real highlights was the hotel's four private onsens—each one was stunning and varied in size and design, offering a peaceful and luxurious experience. This was hands down one of the best hotels we stayed at during our time in Japan. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a traditional and memorable onsen experience!

You will get retro mobile cell phone which will let you to communicate with front desk and ask for a ride between activities in the park or delivery of your luggage even after checkout! The stuff is super nice and polite. Room is very specious and really beautiful, especially if you are into the wooden aesthetic. You will get some fresh fruits and free wine which you will be able to enjoy in the private bath or at your private balcony. Thankfully to Grand Chariot we were able to get the most remarkable experience and good memories of our stay.
