The property is exactly as described, it's cozy, everything is new, beatifully designed bathroom, modern new windows, impeccably clean, beautiful terrace at the the roof, lovely breakfast area. Everyone was genuinely so kind, Alex and his wife are such nice and helpful people! The spa on premises also is great, has very reasonable prices compared to other touristy locations, and is very professional and soothing. I absolutely recommend getting a massage - it was just what I needed and it was a great massage. On top of all that breakfast was wonderful as well, with an incredibly rich plate of fresh fruit that I absolutely loved, scrambled eggs offered every day and properly brewer strong coffee! I am gluten intolerant and Alex made sure I have gluten free options for breakfast as well. The location is good, a few minute walk to a beach, and walkable to a couple nearby beaches (albeit a little longer walk, but I like to walk - you can easily get a tuk tuk though).

This hotel has been designed and built with great attention to detail with beautiful features , exquisite furnishings . It is in a secluded quiet spot with no external noise which makes your stay totally relaxing and calm . The food was delicious and beautifully presented . Cocktails first class!! Staff are attentive and very friendly . Fabulous pool and relaxation areas and wonderful garden . Beautiful view of the sea.

Staff was very helpful and food was amazing (especially sea food and grill). Location is great. Good thing is that they served a variety of food items and yet zero wastage. All staff members were so good - reception, animators, grill chef (one of the best squids I had), pasta chef, bartenders, aqua gym, helpers, hotel manager… everyone.

Close to center but far enough for quiet and stress free enviroment on the water with fantastic views My second time staying at Mawe and is my go to place in Watamu. If you want a small hotel with all the services you want this is the place....

We visited the restaurant a year ago and had a fabulous meal. The pool was beautiful, and the hotel and restaurant also, all set in beautiful gardens. We decided to return and stay this year, again in September. We chose the Junior Suite on half board, option. It was superb. Lovely room with terrace and resident cat. Beautiful features all around. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great food. Well stocked bar. etc, etc. And so peaceful. Manni is a great host, and very attentive. Breakfasts were also excellent, and the half board option is great value. Eunice the masseuse, and the new spa area, were also fantastic. Finally, the location was also superb. Away from the noise and people of Watamu town, but only by a tuk tuk ride. And Garoda beach is an easy walk. We will be back.
