The eco-friendly Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection sits on the sandy shores of Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. The hotel welcomes all new guests with flower necklaces and cool fruit drinks. The breakfast buffet options are numerous. We ordered a la carte lunch & dinner, and the food was always exceptional. (Note, the first night we wanted something that they didn’t have but they ordered it for the second night.) The room was ok, but all rooms come with a comfortable balcony to make up for what the room lacks. Also, the bathroom is about the same size as the room. The beach and the ocean are by far the main reason to come here. The warm ocean water is unparalleled and the hotel staff do a wonderful job keeping their section of the beach clean. The pool area is also nice, but we came for the beach and spent most of our time there. The kid space is lacking, but that’s ok as long as you aren’t there when it rains. Lastly, all the staff we encountered were professional. They helped arrange our departure taxi which actually was rather reasonably priced; meaning same price everyone seems to charge tourists 200 rupees per kilometer (rather than what locals pay which is like 120-150). Overall, I highly recommend staying here.

Rezort Uga Bay - Pasikuda se nachází na pláži, jen pár metrů od nedotčených pláží zálivu Pasikudha, a nabízí dobře vybavené pokoje/apartmá/studia, prostorný venkovní bazén a bezplatné Wi-Fi. Definitely an expensive luxury experience but a wonderful one. Everything was done with a lot of thought about the experience, amazing breakfast beach and gym. Loved the place

Krásný hotel, kde o vás opravdu pečují. Výborné jídlo, velký výběr (měli jsme polopenzi), úžasná pláž s barem, pěkný bazén. Velké, čisté pokoje, prostorná koupelna, nic nám nechybělo. V červenci nebyla hlavní sezóna, takže bylo málo lidí, prázdná pláž, za nás nádhera. Rádi se vrátíme.

Rezort Amaya Beach Passikudah stojí u pláže, od které jej dělí nádherný venkovní bazén. Nabízí prostorné pokoje a apartmá se soukromým balkonem a bezplatným Wi-Fi. Impeccable service, comfortable rooms, delicious food, perfect pool and one of my favourite beaches in the world. Honestly paradise. Also super family friendly without compromising class.

We spent three nights at Sunrise Pasikuda and it was perfect. The hotel is immaculate and our room (we had a family suite) was spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom and two toilets, and a big balcony. We loved the little extras like the fruit plate and flowers on the bed. The location is great. The hotel has a huge pool which leads down to the hotel beach which is clean and quiet with a beach bar. You can do water sports and we did a boat trip that took us to local reefs with excellent snorkelling. We had all our meals here and I can’t fault the food. Breakfast and dinner are buffets with wide choice and there was entertainment every evening. We liked playing pool although the pool cues need an update. What made our stay so special was the staff at the hotel. They are so warm and welcoming and just want you to have a great time. We will definitely return.
