Blends nature into the building very well. The staff are fantastic. So friendly. Unfortunately I can't remember the welcoming manager but he was such a nice man. Antony (manager in the restaurant is fantastic and does a great job in looking after you).The lift is a cool little novelty into the hotel. Gave us refreshments on arrival. We stayed here on our last 2 nights of our honeymoon, which the gave us a food platter and 2 free cocktails. Very kind of them. They even gave us a fair well gift. The hotel itself is stunning. Stunning views and facilities. Rooms are very spacious. The monkeys are everywhere so you just need to watch your stuff around the pool but great to watch while floating in the pool. Food is fantastic. I really can't fault this place. We stayed in some great hotels travelling around sri Lanka but coastline Marissa was level above them all. We actually met the hotel co owner who actually took time out to show us a cool boat tour just around the corner and chatted to us about the area and what to do. He is such a nice man and very welcoming. Highly recommend staying here is you had the chance.

We love the location, the little house is super clean, no mosquitoes and the best natural swimming pool. The food is amazing and the owners very sweet and helpful. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it to the moon and back. Highly recommended. Also the organized guided tours delivered more than we could hope for.

Definately recommend!

Stayed at this family-run guesthouse/hotel for one month. Zero issues. The room (with balcony overlooking a backyard) was spacious, clean and quiet. King size bed was comfortable and protected by a mosquito net. Really neat! Ample sized bathroom with hot/cold water. The fridge is in the common area downstairs. Room cleaning on demand. There's also a restaurant on premises that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owners and staff are super friendly and accomodating. Can arrange a reasonably priced taxi wherever you might need to go. Any other questions and concerns are eagerly answered and helped with pronto. Very laid-back atmosphere overall. Right outside of the hotel on the main road there are two fruit stands, a masage salon and a couple of good mom&pop grocery stores. Easy access (3-5 min) to the ocean and Coconut Tree Hill. Mirissa Beach is a 13 minute walk. Evening/night time the area is pretty quiet as all nightlife happens ~2 km down the main road. Definitely worth the money!

She was always available to help with anything we needed and had some great recommendations for places to see around the area as well. She invited us in very warmly and felt like family when it was time to finally leave. We would definitely stay here again! The room was gorgeous, very large, and had everything you could want (with European quality/standards too!). The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was luxurious with a separate shower area so the floor did not get wet in the main area. The shower head and hot water were great as well! Breakfasts with Gaby were delicious and the perfect balance of variety and quantity. We really appreciated the homemade jam and beautiful flower decorations as well! We will be dreaming of this room and this experience as we continue our travels in Asia. Thank you again for an amazing stay!

The rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything was spotless and beautifully presented. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed. Their suggestions for places to visit were spot-on, and their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The Plantation Surf Inn is more than just a place to stay; it's a place that fosters a true sense of community and relaxation. We already miss the peaceful atmosphere and the friendly faces. We were also delighted by the Plantation Surf Inn's restaurant! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all exceptional. They showcased the best of Sri Lankan cuisine – fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. We particularly appreciated the range of healthy options alongside the more traditional dishes. We recommend Plantation Surf Inn to anyone looking for a nice surfing getaway in Sri Lanka.
