The hosts were as kind as possible and very competent. Same for the safari driver who always tried to avoid over crowded area thinking about the animals and us. I recommend to have dinner there because the food was amazing. If you pass by Udawalawe, you wanna have a stop at Mango Tree House.

The home cooked food was amazing, the cottages have all you need, the backyard allows you to enjoy the nature and relax. the Safari full day was a very memorable experience. Our driver knew exactly how to go off the beaten tracks and to create a unique experience.

From seamless communication to superb arrangements for arrival, tours, and transfers, Tiron's assistance was helpful. The location, just a short drive from the national park and walking distance to restaurants and shops, was ideal. Now, let's talk about the food – exceptional doesn't quite capture it! The hoppers and chicken were beyond compare; I highly recommend asking for dinner—the flavors were divine, and the prices surprisingly reasonable. The room exceeded my expectations, the most comfortable I've had in my travels around Sri Lanka. Fast Wi-Fi, a spacious balcony with a view of the garden and birds, and a thoughtful room upgrade – it was perfect. To top it off, a warm welcome with juice and a very tasty cake made my arrival memorable. In short, this place is a gem, and I highly recommend it. A big shoutout to Tiron and his family for making my stay truly exceptional ❤️

Green Paradise Cottage Udawalawa asub Udawalawes, 17 km kaugusel Udawalawe rahvuspargist. Kohapeal on aed, tasuta eraparkla, ühine puhkeruum ja restoran. What a wonderful place to stay. Even better than the photos. The room was pristine and well equipped, with WiFi, AC, hot showers, mosquito nets and comfortable beds. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and spoke very good English. The garden is beautiful and immaculately maintained, it really was a green paradise. The food was delicious, we tasted lots of different traditional Sri Lankan dishes with generous portions provided. The aubergine curry was a particular highlight. Highly recommend booking your Safari through the hosts, we did and it was a treat. Our guide was fantastic and he joyfully shared his knowledge and passion for animals with us. We saw lots of Elephants including babies and many other animals and birds, which we think was only possible due to his local knowledge. Don’t miss your chance to stay here if you’re in the area.

The Place is very well kept and very calm and qiuet. The price was very cheap for the quality of the room. Staff is also very friendly.

City Elephant is ideally situated for getting to the park, right on the main drag through town. The owners are super friendly. My room was large with a good bed and good AC. The restaurant out by the street looks unassuming, but DO eat there...these guys cook beautifully. I had a rice/curry lunch that was just lovely.

The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel at ease. There was tea and kettle for our use. Breakfast was waiting for us as we came back from early morning safari and it was delicious.
