Of course the interior design and architecture are what stand out most. The whole experience from the food at breakfast, to food at dinner, as well as the incredibly helpful, polite and friendly staff. We wished we could have extended our trip.

The setting is magical, surrounded by forest but not far from the sea. The accomodation is a series of cabin-like rooms a short walk into the main lobby/restaurant area. There is a desk & bar area & plenty of cupboard space. The bed & pillows were very comfortable, and the deck & the views to the gardens outside very peaceful. The grounds are beautiful, including a fully labelled herb and vegetable garden. There are 2 pool areas, one for kids which is also a great idea. Transport can be arranged by golf cart to and from the restaurant but we enjoyed the walk. The breakfast was excellent, huge range of choices, and the dinners too, although it was pretty pricey. There is a separate spa centre and its a 10 minute drive into Comporta.

We went in the low season, 5-6 october, and due to the calmness in the resort we were allowed to stay a bit longer than the 11:30 check-out time which was lovely. I would certainly recommend a visit.

The SPA is working till 9 pm, we really enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious and wide variety of different foods. The staff were welcoming and helpful.
