The restuarant dinner menu was different from what we usually get in a hotel. The was a good varied choice and what we chose was beatifully presented and perfectly cooked. We liked that there was a recommended wine for each meal which saved choosing from the wine menu (which you can do if you wish).

Åsby Hotell is situated between Kolbäckåns rapids and Strömsholm canal, about 1 km from the city of Hallstahammar. It offers free WiFi, parking and in the summer an a la carté dining on the terrace with views of the Skantzsjön Lake. Quaint location on the lake. Reasonably priced. Food quite nice.
