Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is an authentic and contrasting natural space, conveniently located along Route 62, a mere 3.5 hours from Cape Town in the arid Little Karoo. The entire experience is 5 stars. The small lodges make it feel very personal and intimate. Our drives only had 5 people on a 9/10 passenger vehicle making it very comfortable. The food and drinks were great. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and can highly recommend it. The staff were absolutely wonderful – very friendly and attentive. We also had the pleasure of chatting with the owners, who were incredibly kind and welcoming. The garden was beautifully designed, with lots of attention to detail. We especially appreciated the small signs identifying the different plants! We were also delighted to find roses in our room, a lovely and personal gesture that made our stay even more special. The food at the restaurant, both dinner and breakfast was excellent, and the service there was outstanding – the staff were super friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. It was great to sit in a pavilion outside in the morning. This hotel truly stands out for its attention to detail and warm hospitality. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it to others!

We had an excellent stay at Mooiplass Guesthouse! Superman John, Marshall and all the staff made us feel right at home. They went the extra mile to make sure our stay was great. We also took the informative ostrich farm tour with Ben at he guesthouse. Ben is very knowledgeable in everything ostrich! He also doubles as the braai master! The dinner was delicious in a beautiful spot, outside overlooking the pool and the expanse of the Karoo. Recommend having dinner at the guesthouse! The rooms very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was very generous with plenty of options. The guesthouse is in a great location near the main ostrich farms outside Oudtshoorn.

Karoo Retreat- Self Catering Villas and Guest House offers self-catering accommodation located in Oudtshoorn, within the Klein Karoo. It offers a plunge pool. Huge spotless and comfortable duplex villa (for an incredible moderate rate). Tugged away in a green and enjoyable 'compound'. Nice pool (area). The biggest perk was the great friendly kind hospitable and charming lady that checked us in, provided us with information, arranged our laundry and looked after us during breakfast. All staff was pleasant.

Located in Ladismith, in a valley amongst wine lands, Mymering Wine & Guest Estate has luxurious rooms some with a fireplace. The property features an outdoor pool and barbecue facilities. Stayed in Mae West, perfectly situated to lie on the deck next to splash pool and look out onto the mountains. Had clear skies in the evening which made stargazing absolutely spectacular. Unit has small fridge and pod coffee machine which was not listed on Booking.com, had I known this I would have brought along some coffee pods.
