Definitely the best one on our way from Ireland to Lithuania! Nice and friendly stuff (but be prepared that in the evening time there you will not meet them), amazing location - plenty of lovely paths for walking/running just outside the door and the biggest surprise was breakfast. They feed you the same way they want to eat. I can’t remember I had such an amazing breakfast in my life! 5 star hotel! Will try to get back one day for exploration of Baden Baden and it’s surroundings!

The location is great as I went to do the Trails around black forest, so you can walk to most of them or take public transport and start hiking. It's very close to the Old Castle Trail and starts right behind the hotel and the battert rocks and the walks through Black Forest are magical.

Amazing location and friendly staff! Everything we ever need to see, whether shops, restaurants, spas, Therme, are all just walking distance! The city, though rainy, was absolutely beautiful! Amazing architecture and rich culture wherever you look- even the hotel has such long history of housing travellers! Wow, is all we can say. PS. Aside from the great hotel and their breakfast buffet, cakes and yummy breads are also served in the building. Miss Anna is such a wonderful host. We will surely be back again whenever we're craving the beauty of Baden-Baden ❤️

Easy check in out of hours. Great location in the old town. Everything's just around the corner. The room was lovely and warm, big, comfortable bed, lovely pillows. The shower was perfect. Breakfast was very good too. It was lovely to stay in a homely, traditional hotel with character instead of the bland corporate chain hotels.

This has got to be the most centrally located hotel in Baden Baden...which can often translate into traffic and parking problems. We drove there this time and were delighted to discover how easy it was reach the hotel and park our car. We were parked, checked in and relaxing in our room within minutes...not always the case in Baden Baden. Our entire experience at the Merkur was exquisite.

The lady at the reception was very helpful to me. It is worth ordering a taxi to the airport a day in advance, because you may not be able to find a taxi to the airport early in the morning on weekends. She promised that if something happened to the taxi, she would take me to the airport in her car.
