This hotel was perfect for me and my daughter’s stay in Fenghuang. First of all, it’s stunning. The building, decorations, and surrounding areas were beautiful and staying in this small hotel made our visit in Fenghuang feel more significant and of value. This is not an outdated hotel, each part of our room felt brand new though kept in a remarkably preserved old building. The owner and staff are phenomenal! They’re very kind, enjoyable, and pleasant people. When we asked if they could help us warm up some leftovers we had brought, they also prepared us additional dishes to go with it. Throughout our stay the food was exceptional, always authentic Chinese food, and made from scratch by them. Just during our 2 night stay we feasted on dumplings, pastries, noodles, goose, chicken, fresh fruit, and a few other things. After checking out, our host helped us get to where our driver would meet us and stayed with us ensuring our safety. They even provided us with thoughtful gifts upon checking out. Through their behavior towards us and what they’ve created with their hotel, they shared the best of their culture and of humanity, which was what we hoped to encounter.

The host Anthony is English speaking and very welcoming, he helped us to book tickets and recommended suitable routes through the park and took the time to chat with us every night over a beer or two and telling us about Zhangjiajie. The Rooms are large and newly decorated, everything from Beds to Bathrooms are brand new. There are several restaurants along the road in short walking distance. I can't think of a better place to stay if you want to visit Wulingyuan. Great Value. Highly recommended.

She helped me plan my a day in Tianmen mountain and two days in Zhangjiajie. Without her I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the parks, as I don’t speak Chinese and it’s hard to get by without the language there. She also checked in to make sure I was okay. I would recommend 100% anybody (Chinese or foreign) to stay here as on top of the service the rooms were also very clean and comfortable, spacious, etc.

Stuff was friendly and open to communication, ready to help. The manager helped us to book tickets in advance with little discount. Arranged a car to take me to see to see the Zhangjiajie cave and then to the train stations. China never disappoints.

Suoxiyu is 3.2 km from the property. Perfect localization next to the night market and good restaurants. 5 min walk from the entrance to the park.

The homestay offers mountain views, a sun terrace, and free WiFi is available. Beautiful place to stay in the Ancient Phoenix City. The location is excellent and the view from the balcony very nice. The room itself was very clean, with very nice wood furniture. Nice bathroom with fluffy towels. The owner was incredibly welcoming and polite even though we messed up the instructions to the meeting point (he met us at the nearby city gate and then we walked a bit to the hotel - keep in mind there are stairs involved). The offered tea was a nice way to relax after a tiring trip to the city. He also gave us a cool looking map and tips for activities and restaurants. By far the nicest hotel staff we interacted with. Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot and wish we had allocated more time to this city in our trip.
