We were given a free upgrade upon arrival. The location was ideal for people who visit Lingyin temple, just a few minutes by walk to the ticket office. The Lingyin area is so green that one feels close to nature. One of our rooms has a spacious balcony with open view for the green hills around the village. The other room has artful wooden interior design, a blend of traditional and modern style. Found interesting Chinese paintings (copies) from Laoshu and we liked the traditional furnitures in the hotel. There's a lovely quiet yard with a big sweet osmanthus tree, a traditional moon gate and lion stone statues.

Wenzhou wumajie all-weather hotel shamao river branch - located in the city center pedestrian street with breakfast coffee afternoon tea free laundry drying service free gym free daily necessities... Although this hotel is small, the location is excellent for everything you might want to do in the city - eating, shopping, site seeing. The staff, though only Chinese speaking, are all friendly and helpful and enthusiastic. The facilities and rooms are new and clean. Everything works. They have provided charging cables beside the bed. The TV is gigantic. The toilet and shower are smart. They have all the toiletries you need plus a few more. There was even a massage chair in the room. There is always water and tea and some snacks at the lobby the whole day. The breakfast is mainly Chinese that is well-prepared, but bread and butter and jam are also available. There is a small gym, and laundry room with a dryer but I didn't get to use it. This is an excellent hotel and really good value for the rate. The only caveat is that the staff don't speak any English. We managed because my husband speaks a little bit of Chinese. I say this as information and not a disadvantage. This town is still relatively for local tourists so I do understand why they don't have English speaking staff yet.
