The Osprey is a one of a kind hotel in the heart of Scotland. We booked it on a whim on our way back to Edinburgh after a week in the Highlands, it had the perfect location since we didn’t want to drive for too long, great reviews and a room available for three. Already at check-in you feel that it’s something out of the ordinairy. The owners Des and Sinead are warm and kind people with a great sense of humour, happy to help with restaurant suggestions or things to do in the area (or a birthday song, if you’re lucky!). The hotel itself is beautiful inside out, from the floral wallpaper and wooden floor to the picturesque stone facade partly covered in plants, nothing is left to chance. There’s no fuss or haste at The Osprey and we left feeling relaxed, well rested and wanting to come back! If the above isn’t convincing enough, in addition: The room was the nicest we had during our week in Scotland, super comfortable beds and bedding, a nice view over the park outside and very tasteful interior. The breakfast had a broad range of tasty and filling choices. The town of Kingussie itself was very charming and well worth a visit. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough.

The nearest airport is Inverness Airport, 35 miles from Carn Mhor Bed and Breakfast. Hot chocolate sachets in the room! Little things like that are lovely. Heaters and fans in the room were useful too. Adrian was friendly and welcoming. Good selection of books and guides in the breakfast room. Beds were comfy and room was spacious.

Providing free private parking, the 3-star guest house is 49 km from University of the Highlands and Islands, Inverness. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Absolutely fantastic Kev & Kirsty were excellent hosts, they provided lots of information about the surrounding area - places to visit, directions etc The guest house is lovely with a beautiful garden, sauna and hot tub. Inside is also beautifully presented. The room was also lovely and very clean. Breakfast was delicious with a huge choice of options. It is also in an ideal location.

Located in Grantown on Spey, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, Willowbank offers bed and breakfast accommodation, modern rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout. This guest house also has free private car park and secure storage for cycles, fishing equipment and golf clubs. The owners of the establishment are very kind and helpful. The B&B is very well located, the breakfast is very good (you must try the black pudding!). The room was great.
