We loved everything, starting with the big room with amazing views and finishing with the fancy speakers! After being in 10 different hotels in Iceland, this one was absolutely our favorite. Breakfast is nice too.

Great breakfast. Great room. I hope they do well.

Set 500 metres from Black Sand Beach, Hotel Vík í Mýrdal offers 3-star accommodation in Vík and has a fitness centre, a restaurant and a bar. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Our stay at the Vik I Myrdal was superb. The staff were helpful and very friendly. We had a deluxe suite and had a floor to ceiling view of Reynisdrangar. Birds were nesting outside our window, and the hotel supplied binoculars for our viewing pleasure. The breakfast buffet each morning was amazing with lots of tasty selections. Our dinners at the Berg Restaurant were superb. We HIGHLY recommend a stay here.

Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

All rooms have a modern interior design and are fully equipped with complimentary WiFi, communal area, LCD, Satellite TV, hairdryer, clothing rack, extra pillows, phone, soap, and a kettle with tea and coffee. The rooms are fitted with a desk and a private bathroom. The location is good, saves you 2 hours drive to diamond beach if you are traveling from Reykjavik. And the bed is very comfortable.

This eco-friendly hotel, 30 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik, is surrounded by nature in the town of Ölfus. It offers free use of an outdoor wooden hot tub and arranges Icelandic horse riding tours on site. Nice nostalgic clean hotel. Very good for the price. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was quite good. Even if you dont want to ride a horse, you can actually pet them.

Adventure Hotel Geirland is 3 km off the Route 1 Ring Road and 3 minutes’ drive from Kirkjubæjarklaustur village. All rooms offer tea/coffee facilities and views of the surrounding mountain ridge.

Some of Geirland’s cosy rooms are set in individual cottages in the garden. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main building. The view was awesome, it has view to the mountains. The breakfast was awesome, buffet type. Room was clean and cozy.

Situated by Iceland’s Ring Road, Hali Country Hotel offers rooms with views of the Vatnajökull Glacier or the Atlantic Ocean. Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is 12 km away.

Country Hotel Hali has rooms with a private bathroom and a work desk. The buffet breakfast was nice. Our dinner was fantastic, except it was a bit expensive. We stayed in the family unit which was complete with a nice and well-equipped kitchen. The living area was big with dining table. The hotel is beside the beach which is very nice and beautiful.

The erupting Great Geysir is a 10 minute-drive away. Thingvellir National Park is 35 minutes from Gullfoss Hotel. The Kjölur highland road is 2 km away and connects northern and southern Iceland. Reykjavik city centre is 90 minutes away. The hotel staff provided the most excellent service.

Litli Geysir Hotel is on Route 35, located only 200 metres from the world famous Geysir hot spring in Iceland’s Haukadalur Valley. It offers an in-house restaurant as well as free access to WiFi and free parking.

The Gullfoss Waterfall is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Reykjavík city centre is a 1.5-hour drive away. We got an upgrade and everything was just great. Service, rooms, restaurant, breakfast....
