From the moment we arrived, the attention and care from the staff were exceptional. We are especially grateful to the young woman who kindly assisted us in English—she was incredibly helpful and patient, especially since it was our first time staying in a traditional Japanese setting and we were a bit clumsy with the customs. Thanks to her and the whole team, we felt completely comfortable and welcomed throughout our stay. The room with a private onsen and sauna was absolutely incredible, offering stunning views that made the experience even more special. The traditional dinners and breakfasts were both delicious and plentiful—each meal was a true feast, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The area around the ryokan is also beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a walk or simply to relax and take in the atmosphere. We also really appreciated the convenient shuttle service to and from Kagaonsen Station—it made the logistics of getting there effortless. We wholeheartedly recommend this ryokan to anyone looking for a warm, authentic, and luxurious Japanese experience

Ryokan splendido nel cuore dell’higashyama district di Kanazawa. Bastano pochi passi per raggiungere le strade principali del quartiere e assaggiare il famoso gelato con foglia d’oro. Struttura accogliente, pulita, elegante, persino più bella che nelle foto. Stanza splendida, con bagno privato caratteristico e amenities di ottima qualità. Te macha servito come benvenuto all’arrivo, apprezzatissimo. Staff attento e premuroso. Cena kaiseki servita in una stanza diversa ma sempre privata e costante attenzione alle esigenze dei clienti. Ho molto apprezzato anche l’averci fatto trovare sul tavolo 3 stampe del menu: in giapponese, in inglese e in italiano. Sicuramente per noi occidentali alcuni sapori (specialmente a colazione) sono particolarmente forti… ma è stato un soggiorno meraviglioso che rifarei altre mille volte! The couple who run the place are so, so nice, and were able to accommodate my friend’s food allergies without any problems (which, if you know Japan, you know that that’s not always the case!). Plus, the breakfast we got was huge and totally delicious. But the real draw is that the house itself is BEAUTIFUL. I can’t stress enough how charming it is- everywhere you look there’s some lovely tchotchke or antique to discover, all very lovingly arranged. There’s a huge deck outside where you can sit and enjoy the sounds of nature; a massive bath that you can share with friends/fam or keep all to yourself; a room filled with the owners’ personal collection of Showa memorabilia; etc, etc. The rooms were pretty spare but perfectly suitable, especially given all the lounge spaces in the house. Overall AMAZING experience.
