The grounds were immaculate! Even though most of the trees in the surrounding area are, what we call "Devil Thorn Trees", they were all raked away. The staff (shout out to Josie) were incredible. We were visiting with an infant and they made sure we were as comfortable as possible. I let the lodge know that we intended to braai (BBQ) the second night and they provided us with the braai drum as well as a bag of wood! 110% will be staying there again, next time for a week!

I only stayed for a few days and had no idea I needed to stay longer! I had a prompt pick up from the airport arranged by Langholm Hotel despite it taking a bit of time getting through customs/immigration. In a short amount of time I was welcomed by Genevieve! She informed me of all the trimmings and need to know, booked an additional excursion, escorted me to my room and handed me the KEYS! I walked to the waterfront and strolled the walkway around the bay for a lovely sunset. I enjoyed a filling dinner at the hotel and had a good sleep! The following day Cara, manager of Langholm, assisted and supported me through a slight hiccup with my excursions! It's nice to have someone take care of things for you sometimes; you can relax and know all will be well. Before you know it, it was time to depart! One final excursion exploring the seas orchestrated by both of the beautiful ladies at the hotel! I arrived safely at the airport with the same driver who picked me up promising a return to Walvis Bay, Namibia at the Langholm Hotel!

We chose this lodge because of its convenient location on the route from the Atlantic coast to Etosha. Along the way, we also had time to visit Spitzkoppe. Even before our arrival, I could tell we were in for a special experience: the owner was in touch with us regularly, asking in advance about the group’s meal preferences and helping coordinate our arrival. The property is a truly beautiful oasis, almost like a botanical garden. It features not only a pool and charming bungalows, but also a unique lounge with a balcony overlooking a waterhole, where you can watch wildlife up close. The lodge also has its own beautifully decorated restaurant with delicious food.

Nice introduction to Namibian wildlife for my ten-year-old daughter: she petted a rhino and giraffe. Location served well as a lodge beyond Windhoek on way to Damaraland. Cheetah feeding was a nice, unexpected bonus.
