The Central Motel & Lodge se nachází jen 4 minuty chůze od centra Ohakune a nabízí venkovní vířivku. First things first, Denis, our host was absolutely fantastic and accommodating for us to check in late so we can enjoy the lovely weather. He also gave us really good trail recommendations since our plans to do the Crossing have been cancelled. The room itself was big, clean, comfortable with a huge bed and new facilities in the bathroom and kitchen. The shower was a delight! And to top everything, there is a hot tub to enjoy after a long day of hiking. Best place in NZ so far.

Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. Excellent value for money! It was the perfect back up as we couldn’t do the hike over the crossing. They have a sauna a gym and also a private hot bubble pool. The restaurant was also amazing ! And good wifi as I can recall. Perfect location for Mordor hike

Located in the Tongariro National Park, The Park Hotel Ruapehu offers affordable accommodation in a stunning alpine setting. Guests are provided with free parking and 500MB of free WiFi. We really loved the family rooms - they were warm despite the cold temperatures. The hot water systems (i.e. the showers) were excellent. Finding the hotel and accessing the car park was also very easy. The restaurant (the spiral) also served very high quality food. The cost of the rooms was outstanding value for money.

V ubytování je dostupné bezplatné Wi-Fi a na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště.... We came during the low season in June, and we really enjoyed our stay. The Lodge is well situated to hike in Tongariro National Park. We also really enjoyed the fact that the kitchen was well equipped! We wouldn’t hesitate going back!

Situated in a quiet location off the main highway in National Park Village, Adventure Lodge and Motel is family-run accommodation offering free unlimited Wi-Fi access and a comfortable guest lounge... Location was great! Great price!

Ruapehu Mountain Motel and Lodge se nachází v malebném horském městečku Ohakune na úpatí hory Ruapehu a nabízí ubytování v různých typech pokojů. The motel/lodge is very well situated, directly on the road to Turoa, and close to nice bars and restaurants. We had a late check in (11:30pm), and the team was ver accomodating, leaving the room open with keys inside, and clear instructions to go to the room. We had a appartment with 2 rooms (6 beds in total). We were positively surprised by the quality of the place, with good beds (a bit too soft for one of them, but no complains for the others), and quite a lot of space. The kitchen was well equiped too. We only stayed 2 nights, but it would be a great place for a week.

Situated only 10 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune and with beautiful views of Mt Ruapehu from most rooms, Ohakune Court Motel offers accommodation with an en suite bathroom and a flat-screen cable... Spacious, modern well-appointed unit that provided comfy, warm accommodation on a cold winter's night high up in the mountains. After a good sleep, we were treated to bright sunshine, crisp air and splendid views as we wandered around the town.

Great location to access the Tongario alpine Crossing. The staff were amazing and they also operate their own bus to drop off and pick up from the walk.
