The pool, the garden, the lovely evening lights. the beautiful cooked fresh food, the garden butterflies all added to the restful experience at Cat Bà Papillon. The staff were helpful in organising collection from any point on the Island and organising onward transfer to Hanoi. As a solo traveller, I felt safe comfortable and looked after very well. Excellent value for 1 person and even better value for 2 persons. Lovely stay and lovely people

The receptionist was amazing – incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English, the best I’ve encountered during my three stays in Vietnam. He shared lots of helpful information about Cát Bà, which made my stay even better. Scooter rental is also easily available through them, which was very convenient.

Our stay with Essence hotel was really a very nice experience. Right from start, the receptionist Ha was very polite and helpful. One of our rooms had some issue and she made sure it was rectified immediately by assigning another room even before we arrived and updated us on a timely manner. Highly recommended for family stay.The rooms are very spacious with ample storage space to keep bags and is luxiourous. We didnt have to worry about anything including cab arrangements. Ha made sure that we are well taken care of. Thankyou Ha for making our experience with Halong a memorable one!

The location is very good, away from the noise and construction in town, but close enough to walk to many restaurants. And Mr. Trung is an excellent and caring host, who made travel arrangements for us to get to Ninh Binh. I would stay there again.
