Our stay with Essence hotel was really a very nice experience. Right from start, the receptionist Ha was very polite and helpful. One of our rooms had some issue and she made sure it was rectified immediately by assigning another room even before we arrived and updated us on a timely manner. Highly recommended for family stay.The rooms are very spacious with ample storage space to keep bags and is luxiourous. We didnt have to worry about anything including cab arrangements. Ha made sure that we are well taken care of. Thankyou Ha for making our experience with Halong a memorable one!

Just about everything was perfect with the Halong Land Hotel. Our stay was wonderful as we were there to be near the Bay with lovely views. It was very clean, the owners were friendly and helpful, the shower was great, the bed was comfortable, the wifi was great, breakfast was good, and the room could be cooled or heated as needed. We wished we didn't need to leave! FYI: the Tuan Chau area has fewer services and some of the new-ish buildings even appear to be abandoned before completion. That's not to fault the hotel, though. It actually made for a peaceful stay. Use Grab or Xanh to go to the mainland (Hanoi) for food, ATMs, etc.

The family that runs it is incredibly kind and helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. Breakfast is freshly prepared by the owner, and it was absolutely delicious. Our room was spacious, bright, and very clean, with daily housekeeping ensuring everything stayed fresh. A huge thank you for helping us arrange a cruise directly from Ha Long and even driving us to the port. They also assisted us in booking a bus to Hanoi, which made our trip so much easier.
