This was the most amazing little cottage in Ella. It is located 20 min walk or 10 min tuktuk out of town with the most amazing and peaceful view. The owner is an amazing host and can organise tuktuks at reasonable rates, provide hiking directions and all kinds of support on organising activities while you are in Ella. The cottage is also super close to Ella rock if you like hiking. Breakfast was delicious and we also had dinner one night and the food was 10/10!

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. everyone was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The accommodation itself was top-notch—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail, from the bedding to the amenities, reflected a commitment to quality and comfort. The location was exceptionally stunning. High up in the mountain overlooking tea plantations and a valley below, it was breathtaking. We were given a very warm welcome by a team of staff who took good care of our needs. The house was beautifully appointed, luxurious and super comfortable.

Our family loved the homely vibe with clean rooms, bathroom and kitchenette. We were able to wash and dry our clothes, and do our own cooking for some meals. We also explored a nearby viewpoint/lookout and watched some movies that were on the TV provided. Definitely would stay again. Lal, the host, also provided us fruit and soft drinks, which was very kind.

Excellent property with excellent host. Who messaged me a day earlier to inform about room will be ready. Followed up until I come. Offered drinks, given umbrella to ensure we don’t get wet while visiting Ella. Excellent breakfast was prepared. Also follow up after I checked out to ensure everything was all right.

This place really blew our mind ! at start we didn't know we had to hike down the place to reach the room , quite scared at first but when we saw the view my God !! everything was just worth it ! The host ,the family were the sweetest , we stayed there for 3 days and we felt we were staying with a family. On our second day the pipeline broke due to sand erosion but the family late at night fixed it up by themselves. This you don't even see in any 5 star hotels. Tuk tusk would climb up the hill to reach us to our room and were easily available. Go to this place if you are looking for adventure and peace, if you are someone who loves luxury this place isn't for you. But it's one of a kind experience. You also need to be physically fit to climb up and down to the room and also carry some salt or Leech repellents since there are leeches since its closer to the waterfall.

The location, although slightly further from Ella than others, was excellent. You are located in a beautiful landscape surrounded by the sounds of nature. This is perfect for travellers who have the time to enjoy Ella and want to experience Sri Lankan hospitality at its finest, not just the main streets and bars. The owner and his family were very kind, attentive and just very good people. To find the rooms is a bit difficult so the owner met us and bought us through a very scenic walk, where locals were greeting us along the way. The bed is very comfortable and throughout the night you are comforted by the sounds of nature, we slept very well! Perfect stay for backpackers & Travellers, an excellent experience.
