The hosts also offer delicious home-cooked meals at very fair prices, made by a local grandmother. My wife literally had tears in her eyes when she tasted the homemade meat blintzes on our first day; she said it reminded her of her childhood home cooking. Outside, the yard is full of great spots: a shaded sitting area under a fruit tree, two hammocks, a swing perched on the cliff edge (perfect for photos), and a firepit to warm up on cool nights. A supermarket is just a 10-minute drive away for basic supplies.

The house was perfect for us as a family — spacious, spotless, and truly feels like a real home. The kitchen had everything we needed, the wood stove was great with plenty of firewood, and the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The location is excellent — at the quiet end of Mestia, with a huge private garden and beautiful views. Although it’s near the road, it’s a calm one, so there’s no noise. The house can easily fit up to seven adults, just keep in mind there’s only one bathroom. The only thing we didn’t love was the shower, which doesn’t have a proper cabin and sometimes had an unpleasant smell. Other than that, everything exceeded our expectations!
