Inspite of the language barrier,THE OWNER went over and beyond to communicate and help us with all our queries...he was a very kind,pleasant and caring man....at the time of our checkout,we asked him to order for 2 taxis to drop us off to the train station..to our surprise,he dropped us off in his personal car and refused to charge us for it...this act really touched us. The LOCATION is superb,it's on t street parallel to historic street..Sanmachi street..There are a lot of restaurants close by too. I rate this home a 10/10..and will highly recommend it for your stay in TAKAYAMA

Beautiful modern-style accommodation tucked away in old Takayama - we arrived at IORI Stay after a lot of continuous travel so it was a perfect place to slow down for a couple of days, relax and take in the beautiful historic center of Takayama. Staff were lovely and helpful, the breakfast bento boxes were delicious, and they accommodated us as vegetarians - the accommodation had enough luxury but was also minimalist in a way that made the whole experience feel charming and more like home than a hotel.
