峠のお宿 巧の実家 Magome Guest House, Along the Nakasendo Trail ligt in de wijk Magome in Nakatsugawa, dicht bij Magome Observatory, en heeft een terras en een wasmachine. Op de trail. Gelukkig konden we de eerste stijle klim overslaan en vanaf ins appartement starten. Superlieve en dienstbare eigenaren die op ieder moment voor je klaar staan. Zelfs door hem twee keer naar het restaurant in Magone gebracht en gehaald. Als je zelf iets wilt koken, haal dit dan als je van de trein afkomt want hier zijn geen supermarkten. Heerlijk en enorm groot typisch Japans huis met vele kamers, balkons en prive hottube. We zouden hier wel willen blijven wonen 🙂

IG2 源泉掛け流し温泉付きの宇佐美貸切宿 お宿 喜喜哀楽 Oyado Kikiairaku is gelegen in Ito, op een paar minuten lopen van Usami Beach en 24 km van Shuzenji tempel. We had a really nice 4-days stay. The hosts are very communicative and helpful. We got hot spring water outdoor footbath and indoor bath. The kitchen is well-equipped with complete appliances. Our bedroom is comfortable with hot, cold, and dry air conditioner. Overall, the place is neat and clean. We easily went to Mount Omuro, izu shaboten zoo, and lake ippeki as day trip from the place. It is located 2 minutes walk from the Usami train station.

Tsuki-Akari Takayama - Japanese Traditional House with Open-air Bath is aantrekkelijk gelegen in het centrum van Takayama, en biedt een patio. Everything! It was our best accommodation in Japan, the pictures do not do it justice. We wanted somewhere peaceful for our last few days and this was perfect.

Schoon en een vriendelijke eigenaar. Prachtige omgeving. Wij zijn hier naartoe gewandeld vanuit Magome via Tsumago.

The house was well supplied with conveniences like selection of coffee pods (for the coffee machine) and sugar/creamer, plastic and trash bags, condiments, paper towels and tissues. There was air conditioning for every room, including the living/dining/kitchen, which worked effectively although the weather was very hot (up to 36C during the day). Most importantly for me, the house had a car parking lot.

山水民宿 ligt in Takayama, op 2,3 km van treinstation Takayama, en biedt accommodatie met een terras, gratis WiFi, een gedeelde keuken, en roomservice. This house was absolutely wonderful and had everything we could possibly need for a fantastic stay. It was fully equipped, including ample parking and a great kitchen, plus two cozy bedrooms. What made the experience truly special was the traditional Japanese style of the house, where we slept comfortably on authentic futon beds. We especially loved the outdoor space, which had tables equipped with a built-in BBQ, similar to what you find in some restaurants in Japan. One evening, we bought meat and prepared a wonderful family dinner right there. Although we didn't meet the owner in person, their communication and helpfulness were truly outstanding. They were a wonderful host and even went above and beyond by sending us a medicine we had accidentally left behind. We wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment: This place is simply perfect! We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and comfortable Japanese getaway.

民宿 和屋 is gelegen in Takayama, op 17 minuten lopen van treinstation Takayama en 800 meter van het centrum, en biedt accommodatie met airconditioning, gratis WiFi, en een tuin. The cleanliness, Ruili’s kindness, the area is beautiful. Peaceful. Comfy, cosy bedroom. Stay here instead of a big hotel!

Great location, in a quiet residential area but easily accessible to buses (2min). It’s close proximity to Nagoya Station so there are lots of buses headed in that direction. Large and super spacious, clean, full amenities. Washer, dryer, full kitchen, welcome drinks, water filter, Netflix for kiddos, close to 7-11….includes parking!

花緑里-Hanamidori-乙原のやど 岐阜下呂温泉郡上飛騨金山湖畔リゾート bevindt zich op 19 km van Gero Station, en biedt accommodatie in Gujo met toegang tot een terras, skiën tot aan de deur, en roomservice. They really made you feel as if you were a part of their family and took time out of their day to show me around the area and drive me to many different areas all while having really nice conversations.
