The Villa was very clean and the private garden with pool was amazing! The location is a big plus with Dickwella beach just 100m away and Hiriketiya just around the corner. The staff were very friendly, checked in daily to ask if we needed help, and provided guidance on activities and transport, and always with a big smile. I recommend!

Such a nice place to get to after a long flight. The guy there was after anything we needed and super kind. The pool and decor is gorgeous. The bedrooms were beyond exceptional, with some of the most comfortable pillows and duvet, shower was incredible, aircon and fan was awesome, and welcoming lassies were delicious. The location is great to get to both Dikwella and hiriketiya beach.

Location: The homestay is not too far from the beach, with several great restaurants in the vicinity, like Jungle Soul, 101 Restaurant, and Petti Petti – all of which I recommend. Situated at the forest's edge, the area is rich in wildlife, offering sightings of peacocks, various monkeys, countless birds, and even a monitor lizard. If you enjoy being around animals, this place is for you, though be prepared for some noise. The nearby beach is also great for watching turtles in the morning. The Host: I have to mention Ruwan, the host. He was incredibly helpful, fulfilling our requests without asking for extra payment, although I felt it was right to give him something. Just let Ruwan know what you need, and he'll handle it. Additionally, the food Ruwan prepared for us was incredibly delicious. We had curry shrimp that was simply unforgettable. The Room: Our room was excellent, featuring its kitchen where we occasionally cooked seafood. The facilities, including the internet, were all in good working order. I worked remotely for two weeks, and the internet service met my needs. Just a note: as I did, you might need to ask Ruwan to upgrade the internet service for a fee if you require faster speeds. Conclusion: I wholeheartedly recommend Ruwan Jungle Homestay for anyone looking for a comfortable stay close to nature, with excellent service and unforgettable food.

Location is the best, right outside the Forest Reserve, next to a river with lots of beautiful birds. The tour is great too!

Saltasia Boutique Beach Villa poskytuje restauraci, venkovní bazén, zahradu a terasu. Pláž Thalaramba Beach se nachází několik kroků odtud. Its a very narrow drive to get to the villa better to use a three wheeler or small car as you will need a very experienced van driver should you use a bigger vehicle like us, but don’t let this deter you neither the unassuming appearance of the villa when you first see it. I promise you that paradise awaits the moment you step thru the front doors. The villa is as beachfront as beachfront can get and has been lovingly restored. There are only four rooms so once all four rooms are taken, it’s gone. We loved everything about this place. From the moment we arrived the staff pointed out 5 large turtles swimming right in front of our villa feeding on the seaweed and bobbing about on the ocean. What a welcome they gave us - we almost didn’t notice the vibe, the tranquility and peacefulness here at first. This is a spectacular beach front property on waters edge that is professionally run by 10 discreet staff. This villa has somewhat disconected from the rest of the world with its own private beach and spotty wifi which is typical of Sri Lanka anyways. There is no TV nor internet in the rooms but who needs it when there is an inviting pool and friendly staff to cater to your every whim. Internet works well outside of the rooms and guests are invited to use the rest of the villa like they would if they owned the property. Western breakfast is lovingly prepared and if you prefer Sri Lankan breakfast please inform the staff a day in advance. As this villa only has 4 rooms lunch and dinner in house dining can be served should you need it. It just needs early communications and the staff will happily provide or take a short walk to the main road for some other meal options. A two night stay is the minimum I would recommend here.

I had a wonderful stay at Wooden House Mirissa! The place is cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained with a peaceful garden view. The hosts are extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of Sri Lankan options to choose from. The location is also excellent, just a few minutes away from the beach and restaurants. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and homely stay in Mirissa!

It is located so close to the jungle, so you can wake up to the jungle sounds, see the monkeys on the territory and the peacock! I found it a very peaceful place to stay. It’s around 8 min walk down the hill to all the cafes/beach etc.
