Venlo is a quaint town in the middle of Limburg along the river Maas. It has a lot of nice surrounding villages which makes it perfect for hiking and picturesque biking. The town center is very lively with a very nice town square and city hall. It is also good for shopping. Good food options are the Aubergine (in a suburb called Tegelen), Alde Mert and Chez Philippe. There is plenty to do for kids as well. There is a big outdoor play area at Klein Zwitserland and a huge indoor one at Ballorig as well.

Since we were there for only 1 night, an accessible shower was not necessary. Had we stayed longer, the staff would have moved us when an accessible room became available.

Great place, close to train station. Hotel had lots of bikers training for race on April 15th. Limburg has hills. Great bus ride via de Bemmeler road back to Maastrict. Wine o'clock down in the bar, there's a cinema that you can book and you get given popcorn on arrival. Breakfast had a good selection. Very friendly and professional staff. Check-in and check-out were easy. Rooms are a good size and well fitted. Enough space to hang coats and clothes and easy access to light switches. Good location near the the city center (in Maastricht it's on the opposite side of the river to the train station).
